Funny. My Mom grew up in Utah. One of her sisters-in-law grew up in a bigamous family. It was not that great. The pecking order... Women being played against one another, etc. so that was never attractive to me.
But I read STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND when I was a teenager. In fact I read it many times... Even wrote a screenplay of it! So that was my model!
